GovCIO is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF lifecycle activities for our client’s contract needs. The role includes A&A responsibilities, mentorship of junior ISSO staff, and governance across AI/ML platforms under NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 and CNSSI 1253.

Remote work eligibility is 100% with the position based in Washington, DC. You will manage multiple concurrent RMF assessments, produce and maintain SSPs, SARs, SAPs, POA&Ms, and other security artifacts, and

Qualificações

• Experience with RMF lifecycle from categorization through continuous monitoring.
• Expertise managing complex, concurrent assessments including AI/ML platforms.
• Ability to mentor junior ISSO staff.

Responsabilidades

• Support and execute all phases of the RMF lifecycle across multiple systems and networks.
• Maintain RMF documentation: SSPs, SARs, SAPs, POA&Ms, Contingency Plans, Incident Response Plans, risk docs, interconnection agreements.
• Conduct concurrent RMF assessments while keeping compliance docs in JCAM.
• Assess and authorize emerging technology systems, adapting baselines for novel types.
• Manage evidence collection and BOE packages for assessments and audits.
• Establish system impact levels per FIPS 199; conduct PIAs and PTAs.
• Review vulnerability results; manage POA&M remediation through closure.
• Provide security reporting, dashboards, and scorecard updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure systems comply with FISMA, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253 and client policies.
• Manage workflow with JIRA; maintain status visibility across pipelines.
• Mentor ISSO staff; develop SOPs and process docs.
