GovCIO is hiring a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead RMF activities across multiple systems and networks, including emerging AI/ML platforms. You will mentor junior ISSO staff and ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253, and DoD/OMB policies while supporting full A&A lifecycle from categorization to continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years in information system security or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years in an ISSO or cybersecurity compliance role with record as ISSO on assigned systems.
• RMF assessments across multiple network environments.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent A&A assessments.
• Experience developing RMF artifacts: SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, BOE.
• Experience with microservices-based or distributed architectures and security assessments.
• Proficiency with GRC platforms for A&A documentation (JCAM/CSAM, Xacta, or equivalents).
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
• DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAM Level II/III (CISSP/CISM/CASP+ or equivalent).
• Clearance: Public Trust clearance.

Responsabilités

• Support RMF lifecycle phases across multiple systems and networks.
• Maintain RMF documentation (SSPs, SARs, SAPs, POA&Ms, plans).
• Conduct concurrent RMF assessments and manage artifacts.
• Assess emerging tech security requirements for AI/ML platforms.
• Manage evidence collection and BOE packages for reviews.
• Determine system impact levels and conduct PIAs/PTAs.
• Review vulnerability results and track POA&M remediation.
• Provide security metrics, dashboards, and stakeholder updates.
• Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST 800-53 Rev 5, CNSSI 1253, and client policies.
• Manage workflow with JIRA and maintain status visibility.
• Mentor ISSO staff and develop SOPs for process improvements.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to gather evidence and requirements.
