Job summary

RTX in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support our onsite security program. The role collaborates with the ISSM to ensure adherence to NIST SPs, DAAPM, JSIG and NISPOM guidelines in a DoD context.

The successful candidate will lead security assessments, implement RMF controls, and help shape security documentation and training. This is a 100% onsite role with a strong emphasis on risk-based security practices.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in cybersecurity or systems security.
• Experience with RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM and related government standards.
• Experience with computer technologies including databases, operating systems, networks, and hardware.
• DoD classified environments experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and monitoring system compliance, auditing, security plan development and security education.
• Investigating information system security violations and preparing reports with corrective actions.
• Reviewing and approving configuration management requests within authority.
• Conducting technical and administrative security assessments.
• Integrating new cybersecurity processes, procedures, and tools.
• Support creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
