Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer II to oversee security posture for DoD- related information systems. You will work with the ISSM and ISO to manage security operations, authorization packages, and continuous monitoring within SAPs, SCI, and other sensitive environments.

A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. The role involves coordinating with DoD clients, maintaining documentation, and leading security training and

Qualifications

• 2–5 years related information security experience.
• Prior performance as System/Network Administrator or ISSO.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area, or Associate’s degree + 2 years experience, or equivalent (4 years).
• Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IA Technician II/Manager II within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place.
• Notify ISSM on changes that affect authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for security authorization compliance.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with ISSM/AO/DAO.
• Monitor system recovery to maintain security features.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Collect and review audit records for anomalies.
• Attend required security training relevant to duties.
• Perform security coordination and reviews of assessment plans.
• Identify cyber vulnerabilities and help implement countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on security safeguards for computer systems.
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers.
• Conduct continuous monitoring for authorization boundaries.
• Assist DoD/NSA/contractors with A&A efforts.
• Additional duties as assigned
