Job summary

Watermark Risk Management International in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer II to maintain the security posture of information systems in coordination with the ISSM and ISO. The role includes developing and updating authorization documentation and overseeing SAP/SCI activities.

Must have 2–5 years in related roles, DoD 8570.01-M II/IAM II cert within 6 months, and Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years related experience
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO
• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware and media
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization
• Conduct periodic reviews for security posture
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM and AO/DAO
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security controls
• Maintain current security documentation and audit records
• Attend required security training
• Identify cyber vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures
• Prepare reports on security safeguards
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers
