Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead the security program for government systems in Arlington, VA. You will own security policies, RMF accreditation processes, and continuous monitoring, while ensuring compliance with NISP requirements for classified information systems.

The role requires deep technical expertise, U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance, and a track record of building scalable security processes in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Information Security or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity policies and RMF implementation (DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD‑503, JSIG, NIST SP 800).
• Active IAM Level III certification (CISSP, GSLC, or CISM) in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Own and enforce security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for NISP compliance.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation per DoD standards (NIST, RMF, FISMA).
• Create and maintain media sanitization and reuse procedures with auditable processes.
• Document processes for protection requirements, access control, incident reporting, remote access, system management, and encryption use.
• Configure and monitor classified network devices; identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Leverage tools to test and secure systems; document findings and drive remediation.
• Perform system administration tasks including patches, backups, and security tuning to meet federal requirements.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve security processes; share best practices.
