Job summary

RAND Washington seeks an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead classified systems security for TS/SCI networks in the Arlington, VA area. The role requires implementing government security policies, coordinating with agencies, and delivering education briefings on SAP/SCI classifications.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in classified security with a BA/BS (or 12+ years without degree) and a DoD 8140 IAM Level 2 cert. Onsite Monday–Friday in Washington DC area.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Industrial Security regulations (NISPOM, DAAG, ICDs, JSIG, NIST 800 series).
• Familiar with RMF processes with diverse government agencies.
• DoD 8140 IAM level 2 certification (CISM, CISSP or Security+).
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and cybersecurity tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs as the primary for RAND’s Washington office TS/SCI networks and includes SAP/SAR activities.
• Supports the CSSO in classified processing for secure facility accreditations and government agreements.
• Writes, coordinates, and conducts classified systems security education briefings (SAP and SCI).
• Maintains detailed records of security department functions for monthly RAND management reports; conducts investigations and provides incident reports.
• Implements security controls for RAND systems processing classified information including approvals, audits and decertification.
