Job summary

Metron in Reston, VA is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to own the cybersecurity posture and RMF processes for multiple classified and unclassified systems. You will work with the ISSM, CISO, and government customers to maintain authorization packages and ensure continuous monitoring and readiness.

The ideal candidate has hands-on RMF experience, a TS clearance, and a track record of producing SSPs, SCTMs, and POA&Ms. Growth within a growing classified program is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cybersecurity/system administration for classified DoD RMF environments.
• Hands-on RMF artifacts: SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, eMASS.
• Active TS clearance with SSBI or Tier 5 investigation.
• Experience with Windows server/desktop in classified domains.

Responsibilities

• Manage A&A lifecycle for assigned systems per RMF, JSIG, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD/DCSA policy.
• Develop and maintain SSPs, SCTMs, STIG packages, POA&Ms, risk assessments, and eMASS records.
• Evaluate changes for cybersecurity impact and prepare systems for reviews and inspections.
• Execute and document ConMon and vulnerability management across enclaves.
• Review evidence against baselines and drive corrective actions under POA&M.
• Administer user access and enforce data handling and removable media requirements.
• Support COMSEC accountability and incident investigations with ISSM coordination.
• Serve as primary cybersecurity contact with program managers, vendors, and government representatives.
