ASM in Phoenix, AZ seeks an IP Counsel to manage global IP for process and engineering activities. You will own invention disclosures, coordinate with inventors and R&D, and shape the worldwide IP protection strategy aligned with business leadership.

You will work with an international team of IP professionals and patent counsels, enjoying a dynamic, fast-growing environment. Travel is limited to two weeks annually.

Qualifications

• A degree in chemistry, materials science, physics, mechanical engineering, or other relevant semiconductor engineering discipline is required.
• A patent attorney or patent agent qualification in any major jurisdiction (EP, US, KR, or JP) is an asset.
• Technical experience in the semiconductor industry is an asset.
• Experience in intellectual property, either in-house or private practice, is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Manage intellectual property portfolio linked to process and engineering activities globally.
• Harvest invention disclosures and coordinate with inventor communities and R&D teams.
• Determine global IP protection strategy aligned with business leadership.
• Collaborate with IP Counsel colleagues across the globe and internal patent counsels.
