Job summary

Specialized in Morgan Hill, CA seeks an experienced Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property to lead our global IP strategy and oversee patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You will partner with R&D, product, and marketing to safeguard innovations and drive strategic decisions.

You will advise leadership on IP risks, manage licensing opportunities, and supervise IP litigation and portfolio prosecution across jurisdictions.

• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills; experience with global IP issues.
• Proven ability to lead complex IP projects and influence senior stakeholders with business-focused advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of global IP strategy: patents, trademarks, copyrights.
• Advise leadership and product/engineering teams on IP risks, licensing, and commercialization.
• Manage IP litigation, disputes, and enforcement actions.
• Oversee patent and trademark filings, prosecution, and portfolio management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related licenses, technology transfers, NDAs, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with international IP laws; implement internal IP policies.
• Collaborate with R&D, product, and marketing teams worldwide to protect assets.
• Educate teammates on IP best practices and risk mitigation.
