Job summary

The successful candidate will have US law qualifications, 7+ years of experience in commercial/contract law, strong stakeholder skills, and a willingness to grow into a Director-level partner within ASM's global

Qualifications

• Qualified US lawyer with strong US law expertise.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience focusing on commercial/contract law.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across functions.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Business-minded with understanding of operational and commercial objectives.
• In-house experience preferred.
• Experience with employment law and regulatory matters a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, focusing on supplier contracts.
• Partner with sourcing and operations to provide proactive legal advice.
• Coordinate with global commercial legal team on contracting practices and strategies.
• Lead local and global legal development initiatives and scale processes.
• Ensure alignment between local needs and ASM's global legal strategy and policies.
• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice on a broad range of matters.
• Instruct and manage external counsel for specialized matters.
• Support governance activities and government inquiries as needed.
• Deliver legal training to business teams.
