Job summary

Specialized seeks a Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property to lead global IP strategy, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. You will advise leadership and cross-functional teams on IP risks, licensing, and commercialization opportunities, while managing IP litigation and portfolio management.

You will oversee filings, prosecutions, and negotiations of IP agreements, ensuring compliance with international laws and internal policies.

Experience leading global IP strategy including patents, trademarks, copyrights.
Advises leadership and cross-functional teams on IP risks and licensing.
Manages IP litigation, disputes, and enforcement actions.
Oversees patent and trademark filings, prosecution, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of strategic global IP strategy across patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Advise leadership and product/engineering teams on IP risks, licensing, and commercialization opportunities.
Manage IP-related litigation, dispute resolution, and enforcement actions.
Oversee patent and trademark filings, prosecution, and portfolio management.
Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements (licensing, technology transfer, NDAs, partnerships, supply chain).
Ensure compliance with international IP laws and internal IP policies.
Collaborate with R&D, product, and marketing teams worldwide to protect innovations.
Educate teammates on IP best practices and risk mitigation.
