Cardone Ventures in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an Assistant General Counsel to manage a broad range of transactions and provide business-minded legal guidance across commercial contracts, marketing, and IP protection. You will build processes, oversee IP registrations, and work with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

This is a fully onsite role reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing; Arizona bar membership or eligibility within 90 days.
• 5–8 years negotiating and structuring commercial agreements, supporting marketing teams, and protecting IP rights.
• In-house experience in a fast-growing company is preferred; experience with digital and social media rights is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate, draft, and interpret commercial contracts including products/services, terms, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, and the Contract Playbook.
• Partner with marketing to develop and maintain compliance, including trademark guidelines and claims substantiation standards.
• Develop and manage IP portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, with renewals and enforcement workflows.
