Compass, Inc. is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to help build an end-to-end platform for residential real estate. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Product and Design to craft delightful experiences for buyers and sellers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience shipping to the App Store.
• Deep expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and concurrency.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders to implement delightful solutions.
• Master CS fundamentals and iOS design patterns.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with AI tools.
• Experience integrating with RESTful server-side services.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion about mentoring junior engineers to grow.

Responsibilities

• Work in a startup-like environment building agile products and services.
• Collaborate with engineers, Product and Design to launch projects solving real-world problems.
• Influence the roadmap with technical insights and propose architectural changes.
• Guide the team in making trade-offs to deliver initiatives.
• Independently define and lead complex projects, potentially mentoring others.
• Perform code reviews, design reviews, and write high-quality tests.
• Ensure scalable, extensible solutions with proper monitoring and runbooks.
• Become a subject matter expert for one or more services.
• Create clear documentation and runbooks.
• Identify bottlenecks in developer experience and address them.
