Job summary

Compass, Inc. seeks an experienced iOS engineer to lead development of our home buying/selling platform. You will collaborate with Product and Design, guide architecture, and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality iOS apps with SwiftUI and modern Swift practices.

You’ll participate in delivering scalable mobile experiences, drive code quality, and contribute to product roadmap with technical insight. This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented role in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional iOS development experience.
Deep expertise in SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency.
Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
Master CS fundamentals and iOS design patterns.
Experience leading a project from planning to release.
Experience with RESTful server-side services.
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Mentoring and helping more junior engineers grow.

Responsibilities

Work in a startup-like environment building agile products and services.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product and design to launch projects solving real-world problems.
Guide the team to weigh tech trade-offs and propose solutions with pros/cons.
Independently define and lead delivery of complex projects, possibly leading others.
Perform code reviews, design reviews, and write high-quality tests.
Ensure scalable, extensible architectures with good monitoring and runbooks.
Mentor junior engineers on technical and career growth.
