Compass is seeking an experienced iOS engineer in Seattle to lead mobile initiatives within a fast-moving startup-like environment. You will work with product and design, guide junior engineers, and drive scalable architecture for high-quality user experiences.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience building, architecting, and maintaining production-grade applications shipped to the App Store.
• Deep expertise in modern Swift practices, including SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency.
• Ability to collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders to implement solutions which surprise and delight our customers.
• Master Computer Science fundamentals and iOS design patterns and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work in a startup-like environment building agile products and services.
• Collaborate with engineers, product and design to launch projects that solve real-world problems.
• Influence product roadmap with technical insights and propose architectural changes.
• Guide the team through technical trade-offs and deliver complex projects, possibly leading others.
• Perform code and design reviews and write high-quality tests.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold high standards of code quality and operational excellence.
