Job summary

Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking an RN Supervisor (Clinician) for the Radiology - Special Interventional Radiology unit. The role leads day-shift nursing staff, ensures safe patient care, and coordinates clinical activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager.

The candidate should have 2+ years of post-licensure critical care experience, NYS RN license, and BLS; BSN preferred. Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, staff mentorship, and adherence to standards

Responsibilities

• Provides first level supervision to nursing staff and reports to Nurse Manager.
• Delivers direct patient care when required.
• Develops initial nursing assessment and care plan within eight hours of admission.
• Monitors nursing care quality and documents care.
• Completes yearly evaluations and competencies of nursing staff.
