Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a Senior Technologist for the Cardiac Cath Laboratory. You will lead technical operations during shifts, liaise with management, physicians and vendors, and drive quality and patient safety outcomes.

The role includes coordinating staffing, conducting QA audits, and steering quality improvement initiatives while mentoring staff and supporting performance development. A rotating call schedule and strict adherence to standards are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
• Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Texas.
• Current ARRT Licensure (exemption per Public Law 97-35).
• Active Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) RCIS/RCES if non-Radiologic Technologist.
• Current Interventional Angiography certification preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Cardiac Cath Lab team during assigned shifts.
• Serve as liaison between management, staff, physicians and vendors; resolve routine issues.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and develop quality improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor staff, provide performance feedback and support development.
• Participate in a rotational call schedule with RT and RCIS staff, ensuring compliance with standards.
