Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks a Lead Cath Lab Tech to coordinate and lead the multi-modality Cardiac Cath Laboratory team on a rotating shift. The role includes staff supervision, project leadership, and ensuring patient safety in line with TDSHS and TJC standards.

The position requires 3 years of Special Procedure or Radiographer experience, active MRT license in Texas, ARRT, and BCLS/ACLS certification. Prior leadership and a strong commitment to compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years prior Special Procedure and/or Radiographer experience required.
• Membership in related professional organization preferred.
• Must demonstrate commitment to Compliance Program and Code of Conduct and report suspected issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead Radiologic Technologists in the Cardiac Cath Laboratory for assigned shift.
• Coordinate staffing, schedules, and quality assurance audits.
• Train and mentor staff; lead projects and analyze performance data.
• Maintain liaison with management, staff, vendors and physicians to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance with TDSHS and TJC guidelines.
• Support on-call rotation with staff RT and RCIS.
