Job summary

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos (Texas) seeks a Catheterization Laboratory Technician II to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will prepare labs, maintain equipment, document patient data, and uphold sterile technique while ensuring patient safety and efficiency.

As a preceptor to junior staff, you will share expertise on advanced procedures and technology, including IVUS, ICE, and hemodynamic systems, within a mission-driven Catholic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a healthcare-related field preferred
• 2 years of Diagnostic, Interventional Radiology, or Cath/EP Lab experience is required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within designated timeframes; RCIS/RCES/RCS or ARRT/CI/CV/VI/AB/OBGYN/AE/RVT as applicable within policy

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of company competencies as applicable
• Ensures equipment is operational and documented for quality control
• Trains and serves as a preceptor for Technicians and Technologists I
• Maintains sterile technique and patient safety throughout procedures
• Collaborates with procedure team to ensure patient care and lab efficiency
• Documents patient information in lab systems
• Operates and supports cath lab imaging and hemodynamic equipment
