Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior structural/dynamic analyst to support interstage systems for New Glenn. You will develop high-fidelity models of jettison events, evaluate clearances, and drive design reviews with a focus on safe, repeatable spaceflight.

You will lead analyses, coordinate with mechanical engineering, and prepare documentation and databooks to document system requirements and performance.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or physics and 8+ years in dynamic/structural analysis in aerospace or related fields.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.; background checks required.
• Experience with launch vehicle separation, dynamics, and high-energy transient analysis.
• Proficiency with LS-DYNA and at least one major analysis code (Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran).

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic analysis of interstage jettison events using LS-DYNA.
• Create high-fidelity transient models of separation mechanisms.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on separation system trade studies.
• Develop component requirements from analyses and compile safety summaries.
