Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Senior Internal Communications Specialist to craft thoughtful internal communications that inform, connect, and align staff with the firm’s culture and priorities. You will work with senior leaders, the Communications Manager, and teams across offices to support firmwide initiatives and leadership messaging.

The role requires outstanding writing, editing, project management, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion in a fast-paced professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years in communications/marketing or related role.
• Experience in law firm or professional services preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing and content development skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with deadlines.
• Ability to communicate with firm leadership and colleagues across offices.
• Discretion with confidential information.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and collaborative, with client service focus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint, Vuture, InterAction preferred.
• Experience using metrics/analytics to evaluate impact.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit and distribute internal communications for firmwide and targeted audiences across platforms.
• Develop executive and leadership communications including announcements and talking points.
• Provide communications counsel to firm leaders and plan complex initiatives.
• Create communications plans with leadership and stakeholders for firm initiatives.
• Translate complex information into accessible messages for employees.
• Utilize visual storytelling and formatting to improve engagement.
• Coordinate messaging across departments, offices and teams.
• Create content to raise awareness of initiatives and priorities.
• Support organizational change, tech implementations and process improvements.
• Use intranet, email tools and platforms to distribute content effectively.
• Maintain internal communications calendars, templates and workflows.
• Track metrics and suggest improvements based on insights.
• Adhere to marketing, editorial style guidelines.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion.
