Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is a national law firm seeking a Senior Internal Communications Specialist to craft thoughtful internal communications and leadership messages. You will collaborate with firm leadership, the Communications Manager, and colleagues across offices to support firmwide initiatives and programs.

The role requires excellent writing/editing, project management, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications, marketing or related role.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and content development skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to communicate with firm leadership, stakeholders and colleagues across offices.
• Discretion handling confidential information; detail‑oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit and distribute clear, engaging internal communications for firmwide and targeted audiences.
• Develop executive and leadership communications, including announcements and talking points.
• Provide communications counsel to firm leaders and stakeholders on complex initiatives.
• Create plans and materials for firm initiatives with Marketing and Business Development.
• Translate complex information into accessible messages for employees.
• Use visual storytelling and formatting to simplify information and boost engagement.
• Coordinate communications across departments, offices and admin teams for consistency.
• Track metrics and suggest improvements to content, timing, channels.
• Maintain adherence to style guidelines and handle sensitive information with discretion.
