Southwest Airlines Co. seeks a Sr Internal Communications Specialist to provide counsel and translate business priorities into clear messages for Employees across the Company. You will collaborate with teams to shape tone, channel selection, and messages, coordinating details to bring plans to life and strengthen engagement.

You will help reduce information overload, maintain consistency across internal and social channels, and ensure employees stay informed and connected.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience contributing to complex communication efforts.
• Experience on cross-functional project teams to provide communications insight and support.
• Ability to provide communications counsel to clients and create communication plans and messages.

• Provide communications counsel to colleagues —determining appropriate tone, message, and channel to deliver clear and effective messages that align with Company objectives
• Demonstrate autonomy in the execution of defined message and channel strategy, gathering inputs from multiple sources, obtaining and coordinating the proper approvals, and partnering with other departments or outside partners as needed to build and execute communication strategy
• Act and advise the business with a broad set of stakeholders in mind
• Partner with Team to execute communication strategies to create deeper engagement with multiple stakeholders
• Contribute to SWALife and other Companywide, external, and/or department channels as needed
• Ensure consistency among internal, external, and social messaging
• Establish effective liaison relationships with other Southwest departments for support in communicating departmental initiatives
• Direct efforts to construct the Southwest story for maximum engagement, and challenge the Team when there is risk of information overload or change fatigue
• Own and deliver on defined elements of communication strategies and projects under the guidance of direct Leader
• Responsible for execution of communications strategy set by Team across multiple topics or work groups
• Work with direct Leader to frame solutions to emerging issues, and subsequently define and execute appropriate communication strategies to support the best outcome
• Able to craft a broad set of communications tactics independently with input or guidance from direct Leader
• Identifies opportunities to optimize our Team’s ways of working; influences outcomes within well-defined scope
• May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
