Amazon is seeking a Public Relations Specialist III to develop and execute strategic communications for AWS Internal Communications, shaping narratives that resonate with hundreds of thousands of Amazonians. You will produce stories for AWS initiatives and publish content for the AWS Newsroom, collaborating with global editorial leads and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end communications plans, including stakeholders, quality checks, and success criteria.
• Write, edit, and publish 2–4 original stories per week on AWS initiatives, news and events.
• Lead a weekly newsletter to AWS employees.
• Develop story angles from product launches, organizational news, leadership moments, and employee achievements.
• Curate and pitch content from across AWS teams, identifying resonant stories.
• Produce and write content for AWS Newsroom social channels.
• Maintain a high quality and creativity bar for all published content.
• Contribute and lead email campaigns for AWS employees and event alerts.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate ideation, drafting, and optimization.
• Apply AI tools for editing, formatting, and content repurposing across channels.
• Create supporting graphics, visuals, and imagery for stories.
• Design headers, infographics, and visuals to enhance engagement.
• Track and report content performance and readership metrics.
• Assess reputational risks and sentiment trends, and coordinate actions with cross-functional teams.
• Drive strategic discussions to prioritize programs and balance effort and deliverables.
• Write and review narratives, reports, and business documents for senior leaders.
