Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead a design team, implement workplace strategy and standards, and support project designers from concept through construction. The role requires strong leadership, Revit expertise and the ability to manage multiple complex design projects.

The successful candidate will mentor designers, coordinate timelines and budgets, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with safety codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in architectural drawings, concepts and design.
• Strong time management, communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from concept through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards and resource allocation.
• Support Project Designers in quality review of design deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and design standards within documentation.
• Review preliminary space plans to meet safety codes and client needs.
• Select and specify furniture, fixtures, and millwork to meet client requirements.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning, design, program management and FF&E services.
• Develop client workplace standards and seek improvements in design outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of space planning, materials, finishes, lighting, acoustics and ergonomics.
• Work independently or with minor oversight on conceptual to construction documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects, engineers, etc.
• Share FF&E vendor knowledge with the team.
