Samsung C&T America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Interconnection & Grid Strategy professional to lead all grid-related aspects of renewable energy development in the United States.

You will liaise with ISO/RTOs and utilities, coordinate with development, engineering, and GIS teams, and define interconnection-driven siting strategies to maximize project success. The role requires hands-on interconnection experience with ISO/RTOs (e.g., ERCOT) and a strong grasp of FERC tariffs, GIP, and

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional experience in transmission planning or interconnection in the U.S.
• Advanced power system modeling tools experience (PSS/E, PSLF, TARA, PSCAD, or PowerWorld).
• Open Access Transmission Tariffs (OATT) and Generator Interconnection Procedures (GIP) knowledge.
• Experience with top-tier engineering consultancy is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Strategic Leadership: spearhead Transmission & Interconnection strategy across US power markets.
• Queue Management: manage interconnection portfolio and SIS/Facilities studies.
• Regulatory & Policy Advocacy: monitor market rules, FERC filings, ISO/RTO policy shifts.
• Project Development Support: identify POI and evaluate congestion/basis risk.
• Liaison & Negotiation: represent company in IA negotiations with TOs and Balancing Authorities.
