Job summary

Recurrent Energy is seeking a Senior Manager / Manager, Grid Strategy and Analytics to lead the technical aspects of the utility interconnection process for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across North America. You will oversee interconnection studies, grid integration, and strategy throughout development, permitting, and construction phases.

You will provide technical leadership on transmission planning, interact with utilities and EPC teams, and manage external consultants

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required
Experience with high-voltage electrical systems and interconnection processes preferred
Proven ability to manage external consultants and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the utility interconnection and grid integration process for new power plant projects.
Perform economic transmission planning using PROMOD.
Provide technical leadership in review of interconnection documents, studies, standards, and agreements.
Manage external consultants performing interconnection modeling and studies, including load flow analyses.
Develop knowledge of interconnection tariffs for domestic and international utilities.
Provide input on strategic interconnection siting and facilities during early development.
Lead high-voltage design & installation to ensure compliance with interconnection and PPA requirements.
Coordinate transmission and substation design with EPC partners.
Collaborate with development teams on permits, utility proposals, and project activities.
Provide technical input to Regulatory Strategy on interconnection policies.
