Job summary
Recurrent Energy, a leading solar and energy storage developer, seeks a Senior Manager / Manager, Grid Strategy and Analytics to oversee the utility interconnection process for North America. The role covers interconnection, grid integration, study management, and negotiations across multiple projects from development through construction.
You will provide technical leadership on interconnection studies, coordinate with engineering and development teams, and ensure compliant, cost-effective grid
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years high-voltage electrical systems experience, preferably with a utility, system operator, or independent power producer.
- Experience managing the transmission interconnection process for power generation facilities, including wind, solar, or thermal projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing economic transmission planning using PROMOD.
Responsibilities
- Oversee utility interconnection and grid integration for new power plant projects.
- Lead interconnection studies and negotiation of interconnection agreements.
- Coordinate with external consultants, EPCs, and development teams.
- Provide technical input during early-stage development regarding interconnection siting and facilities.
- Support regulatory and tariff compliance for interconnection.
- Guide high-voltage design and installation to meet interconnection requirements.
