Job summary

Samsung C&T America, Inc. seeks a seasoned Senior Manager to lead grid integration for its renewable energy portfolio, navigating CAISO/WECC interconnection processes and LGIA executions. You will guide technical studies, strategy, and stakeholder negotiations across critical markets.

The role requires deep regulatory knowledge of CAISO tariffs and BPMs, with a track record in renewable development. Expect high-impact collaboration with PTOs and engineering teams to meet ambitious milestones.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of transmission and interconnection experience in the CAISO market.
• Deep knowledge of the CAISO Tariff, BPMs, and the annual Transmission Planning Process (TPP).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) or related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• CAISO and WECC queue management for utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS.
• Technical analysis & modeling including power flow, transient stability, short circuit, and curtailment analyses.
• Strategic siting with development teams based on transmission capacity and upgrade costs.
• Lead negotiations with CAISO/WECC and PTOs for interconnection agreements and cost allocation.
• Regulatory advocacy in CAISO/WECC processes and FERC changes to protect project viability.
• Due diligence assessments for M&A activities and interconnection positions.
• Ensure compliance with NERC, WECC, and ISO tariff requirements; meet milestones.
