Canadian Solar in the United States seeks an Analyst/Senior Analyst for Transmission & Interconnection to drive interconnection strategy and execution across US markets. Qualifications

• Understanding of power system fundamentals, including transmission planning and generator interconnection.
• Familiarity with power flow (load flow), short‑circuit, and stability studies.
• Experience with power system modeling tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, ETAP, or similar.
• Ability to synthesize complex technical results into clear, concise recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of interconnection process, including queue strategy, application preparation, and study execution.
• Evaluate transmission constraints, interconnection options, and economic viability to inform siting and development decisions.
• Track and manage projects through RTO/ISO and utility study processes (e.g., SRIS, Facilities Studies).
• Review and interpret interconnection study results, including power flow, short‑circuit, and stability analyses.
• Identify network upgrade requirements, cost exposure, and schedule risks.
• Manage external consultants performing interconnection modeling and studies; define scope and review deliverables.
