TerraPower LLC is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer for the Physical Design Oversight (PDO) team in Bellevue, WA. You will oversee design work products, coordinate with TerraPower and suppliers, and ensure integration across structures, systems, and analyses for nuclear plant design.

The role requires leading edge skills in civil/mechanical design, risk-based methods, and regulatory interfaces, with a focus on integration across design disciplines and licensing strategies.

Competenze

• M.S. degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering or equivalent/higher preferred.
• 8+ years of design and analysis experience.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with ability to coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Experience with new nuclear power plant design projects.
• Experience with risk-informed, performance-based and probabilistic methodologies.
• Broad design and integration experience across lifecycle stages.
• Experience with design for seismic, high winds and aircraft impact.
• Experience with codes/standards such as IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360 and ASCE 7.
• Experience with nuclear codes/standards such as ACI 349, ACI 359, AISC N690, ASCE 4, ASCE 43.
• Experience working with NRC or DOE regulations.
• Ability to balance competing objectives and resolve conflicts.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration and teamwork.
• Experience with ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Demonstrates trust, integrity, and respectful collaboration.

• Research, develop, and implement design bases and strategies for plant design and licensing.
• Develop, maintain, and refine plant-level requirements and specs for integration.
• Interface with design disciplines to specify design and performance criteria.
• Verify licensing and code requirements are aligned with design strategies.
• Perform and support oversight review of physical design work products.
• Coordinate with TerraPower and engineering partners on NI integration and data transfer.
• Coordinate multi-system analyses such as SSI, seismic models, external hazards, and PRA.
• Monitor design organizations and ensure technical requirements and processes are followed.
• Support design and integration reviews and cross-functional issue resolution.
• Integrate plant information into licensing basis and regulatory submittals.
