Job summary

TerraPower LLC, based in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a Senior Engineer to advance the Natrium Demonstration Project. You will support the ongoing design and delivery of primary reactor systems, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and analysts in a high-performance environment.

You will ensure system safety and operability, prepare design basis documents, reviews, and calculations while maintaining tight documentation and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design for complex systems.
• Experience with nuclear or high-temperature pressure vessels is highly desired.
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001 quality standards is preferred.
• Ability to produce clear designs, calculations and design reports.

Responsibilities

• Drive cross-disciplinary alignment to define and refine system requirements.
• Design nuclear and industrial mechanical systems including specs and drawings.
• Develop and maintain system architecture and design documentation (e.g., DBDs, P&IDs).
• Establish equipment design bases with regulatory criteria and performance targets.
• Interface with suppliers and manage technical deliverables and changes.
• Support licensing activities for construction and operation of reactor systems.
