TerraPower LLC in Bellevue, Washington, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop reactor structures and components for the Natrium Generation IV Reactor. You will interact with project teams and lead design reviews.

Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 8+ years of equipment/component design, ASME III experience, DFM/DFA, strong ANSYS; CAD/SolidWorks familiarity is preferred. Excellent communication and the ability to work with minimal direction are essential.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 8 years of equipment/component design experience (MS credited as two years)
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Experience in finite element stress analysis (ANYSYS)
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Ability to work with minimum direction and manage multiple tasks
• Familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks preferred

Responsabilidades

• Design reactor structures and components from requirements through final design
• Coordinate inputs from Engineering and Project teams to produce equipment and components design solutions
• Perform scoping analysis and calculations for design options
• Interface with engineering analysis activities
• Technically manage supplier activities
• Present design results for design reviews
• Mentor junior engineers and subcontractors
• Support nuclear industry best practices and continuous improvement
