Job summary

AMERISAFE in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a Senior Territory Sales Manager to drive sales and agency management within the assigned territory. You will work with underwriting, safety, marketing and other departments to achieve sales and production goals.

Expect to travel weekly for agency visits and trade shows, partnering with independent agencies to grow submissions and premium; you will coach team members and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of insurance sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and agency mechanics.
• Ability to manage a remote territory with limited direction.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant industry experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop an annual territory plan aligning with regional and company growth goals.
• Weekly agency visits with travel to trade shows and internal meetings.
• Complete annual agency business plans with action items to achieve objectives.
• Oversee partnerships with designated agencies to drive submissions and profitable growth.
• Develop key partnerships with independent agencies to enhance carrier-agency relationships.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to deliver a superior customer experience.
• Manage assigned agencies and prospect new agency partners.
• Share industry trends with independent agents and attend industry events.
• Complete administrative duties such as weekly calls and expense reports.
• Assist in special projects and provide coaching to less experienced sales team members.
• Foster Amerisafe culture by embodying consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service.
