Job summary

Capital One is seeking an Insurance Risk - Principal Associate (Remote-Eligible) to review loan documentation, certificates, and policies for compliance with investor guidelines. You will identify deficiencies, coordinate with borrowers, agents, and third-party providers, and support force-placed insurance when needed.

This role requires deep knowledge of core coverages and the ability to draft clear justifications for waivers and audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree or military experience preferred.
• ARM, CPCU, or CRM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documentation, third party documents and investor guidelines to identify insurance requirements.
• Analyze insurance certificates, binders, full policies, and endorsements for accuracy and adequacy.
• Draft comprehensive justifications for waivers and obtain investor approval.
• Maintain knowledge of core coverages (General Liability, Umbrella/Excess, Property).
• Coordinate with borrowers, agents, third-party providers, and GSEs on insurance matters.
• Manage force-placed insurance processes and participate in audits.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

Certification: ARM, CPCU, or CRM
