Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry with a focus on commercial risk, underwriting, or compliance.
• Strong communication skills for technical justifications and stakeholder coordination.
• Attention to detail to review documents, certificates, and endorsements for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documentation, third-party documents and investor guidelines to identify applicable insurance requirements; resolve non-compliant items with agents and borrowers.
• Analyze insurance certificates, binders, full policies, and endorsements to ensure accuracy and adequacy.
• Holistically evaluate risk from deficiencies and draft comprehensive justifications for investor approval.
• Maintain understanding of core coverages (General Liability, Umbrella/Excess, Property) and articulate necessity of coverages.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide expert guidance on insurance matters.
• Manage force-placed insurance processes and represent the department in audits.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance controls, and improve efficiency.
