Job summary

Sompo in the United States is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to join the Operations team. You will conduct operational reviews, quality audits, and control assessments across insurance segments, analyzing data to inform strategic decisions and strengthen internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years in insurance operations or related fields, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in insurance operations, underwriting support, quality assurance, audit or related function.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interpret data and drive actions.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint; BI tools preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; professional designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct operational reviews, quality audits and control assessments across insurance segments.
• Gather, analyze and interpret data to identify trends and support strategic decisions.
• Document findings, perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Build partnerships across Operations, Underwriting, Technology and business units.
• Lead cross-functional process and technology improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Serve as SME during User Acceptance Testing for system changes.
