Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an Insurance Compliance & Regulatory Senior Lead to guide complex regulatory programs within our Insurance Operations team. The role focuses on escalation management, regulator communications, and cross-functional collaboration to implement robust compliance controls.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license (or will obtain quickly), has 5+ years in insurance with 3+ years in regulatory compliance, and 2+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license preferred or willingness to obtain it quickly.
• 5+ years of insurance experience, including 3+ years in state insurance and regulatory compliance.
• 2+ years in a team lead, managerial, or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of managing state regulatory inquiries and carrier audit relationships.
• Strong understanding of NAIC model regulations and state insurance codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Escalation Operations: oversee end-to-end investigation and de-escalation for critical customer complaints.
• Own DOI and Insurance Carrier Responses: manage carrier audits and state regulatory workflows; author and finalize official correspondence.
• Systemic Root-Cause Resolution: partner with Legal, Product, Engineering to convert audit findings into product changes and process fixes.
• Complaint Log & Compliance Controls: maintain log and workflows for audit-ready records and timely responses.
• Carrier Relationship & Claims Support: act as liaison for carrier partners during investigations and inquiries.
• Team Guidance & Coaching: provide operational guidance and quality oversight to team members.
• Regulatory Reporting & Documentation: maintain audit-ready records of trends and responses for inquiries.
