Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking an Insurance Compliance & Regulatory Senior Lead to join its Insurance Operations team. Reporting to Senior Manager of Insurance Ops, this role solves complex systemic issues, builds compliance frameworks, and bridges customers, regulators, and product teams.

You will oversee escalation operations, manage DOI and carrier responses, drive root-cause resolution with Legal, Product and Engineering, maintain audit-ready records, and guide a team dedicated to compliance and claims

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain quickly).
• 5+ years in insurance with 3+ years in state regulatory compliance.
• 2+ years in team lead or supervisory role.
• Proven track record managing state regulatory inquiries and carrier audits.
• Knowledge of NAIC model regulations and state codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Escalation Operations: end-to-end investigation and de-escalation for critical complaints.
• Own DOI and Insurance Carrier Responses: author and finalize official regulatory correspondence.
• Systemic Root-Cause Resolution: partner with Legal, Product, and Engineering on fixes.
• Complaint Log & Compliance Controls: maintain audit-ready records and deadlines.
• Carrier Relationship & Claims Support: liaison for carrier partners during investigations.
• Team Guidance & Coaching: mentor team handling compliance and claims support.
• Regulatory Reporting & Documentation: maintain trends and timelines for DOI inquiries.
