Job summary

EY’s Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice seeks an experienced insurance claims Manager to lead complex recovery engagements and oversee multimillion-dollar claims for corporate policyholders, brokers, insurers and attorneys.

You will guide project teams, develop strategies, and coordinate with engineers and forensic accountants to maximize financial recoveries while maintaining client satisfaction and high-quality delivery—hybrid work model with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field (Accounting/Finance/Business/Risk Management/Insurance/Economics).
• 7+ years of commercial insurance claims experience.
• Experience as Property/General/Executive General/ Large Loss Adjuster or similar.
• Strong knowledge of commercial property, business interruption, extra expense, cyber, builder's risk or first-party claims.
• Experience managing large and complex losses with multiple stakeholders.
• Professional designation such as CPCU, CPA, CFE, or CFF is a plus.
• Strong PM and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience supervising or leading teams.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed.
• Access to reliable transportation; a driver’s license is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial, economic and strategic advice on complex disaster recovery and insurance claims.
• Read and summarize policy coverages and advise on claims handling.
• Develop claim strategies based on policy and claim type.
• Advise clients during recovery, exploring coverages and options.
• Track and allocate costs within policy parameters for claim preparation.
