Job summary
Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate P&C product decisions into systems and requirements. You will work across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product to define build-ready requirements and ensure correct implementation.
The role emphasizes ownership of lifecycle, UAT, and documentation, with a remote-first culture across multiple states.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as business/systems analyst in P&C insurance
- Translating insurance concepts into requirements for Engineering
- Knowledge of insurance lifecycle in policy administration
- Experience building user stories, flows, decision tables, data mappings
- Experience with Agile/Iterative delivery and UAT
- Synthesizing multiple inputs into clear decisions
- Bonus: knowledge of policy administration systems
- Proficiency with Jira/Confluence/Smartsheet
Responsibilities
- Own requirements lifecycle for new products, launches, forms, rating changes, and compliance
- Partner across Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Ops, Engineering
- Translate decisions into clear business requirements and specs
- Document current- and future-state processes and data mappings
- Lead UAT planning, scenarios, and product reviews
- Develop acceptance criteria and traceability from decisions to implementation
