Job summary

Kin Insurance, Inc. is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to turn insurance product decisions into precise, implementable requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.

You will coordinate across Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, and Operations to define clear specifications and ensure successful deployments. You’ll own the requirements lifecycle from discovery through handoff, driving UAT and validation, documenting current and future states, and surfacing gaps

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, systems analyst, or similar role.
• 3+ years in P&C insurance.
• Translate insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering and Tech Product.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and documentation (current- and future-state).
• Experience partnering with Engineering or IT in an Agile/delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and coverage changes.
• Translate business decisions into clear business requirements and functional specs.
• Collaborate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Tech Product, and Engineering.
• Document current-state processes and define future-state workflows; manage changes.
• Identify gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and downstream impacts before development begins.
• Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and product review processes to confirm changes are implemented correctly.
