Job summary

Kin Insurance seeks a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate P&C product decisions into precise requirements for engineers. You’ll own the lifecycle for new products, state launches, and changes, collaborating across product, actuarial, underwriting, compliance, claims, and engineering.

You’ll lead discovery through validation, build actionable user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment and traceability.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a business analyst or systems analyst role in P&C insurance.
Experience translating product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering.
Knowledge of policy administration systems and rating/form configurations.
Proven ability to produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings.
Experience in an Agile environment with requirements clarification and UAT.

Responsibilities

Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and changes.
Bridge Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, Engineering, and Tech Product.
Translate business decisions into clear requirements and functional specs.
Lead UAT planning, test scenarios, and validation before release.
Document current and future-state processes and maintain traceability.
Identify gaps, dependencies, and downstream impacts before development begins.
Build stories, process flows, decision tables, and data mappings for developers.
Act as primary point of contact for requirements questions during development.
