Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instrumentation. This role ensures aseptic packaging and safe reuse of supplies, serving as a clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and offsite CSS locations to track instrument utilization across the Enterprise.

Requirements include at least two years in instrument processing or Surgical Technology, and CRCST or CSPDT

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of instrument processing or Surgical Technologist experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required within six months of hire or upon start date.
• Entails coordinating sterilization, assembly and distribution of instrument trays across the Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to streamline case flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization of reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Procure, standardize and organize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Support projects and process improvements; ensure aseptic delivery of supplies 24/7 across multiple sites.
