Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee sterilization, assembly, and distribution of surgical instruments across the Enterprise. Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities between the Operating Rooms and Sterile Processing, ensuring aseptic preparation, and standardizing instrument trays.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in instrument processing or as a Surgical Technologist, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification through IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification through CBSPD required upon hire, or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow.
• Oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization/high-level disinfection of reprocessed surgical inventory.
• Order, procure, and standardize instrument trays across the Enterprise for 24/7 operations across multiple sites.
