Job summary

The Ohio State University’s University Hospital is seeking a Lead Instrumentation Coordinator to oversee sterilization, preparation and delivery of surgical instruments across the enterprise, ensuring aseptic, properly functioning supplies for procedures.

The role coordinates between Operating Rooms and CSS by standardizing trays, managing case cart flow, and mentoring CCS Technicians; 24/7 coverage across multiple sites including Ross Heart Hospital and University Hospital.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire.
• 4 years of relevant experience required; 6+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead oversight of daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments.
• Standardize instrument trays and manage tray movement logistics across the Enterprise.
• Monitor OR schedule to ensure timely delivery of instrumentation.
• Provide clinical orientation for CCS Technicians and Instrumentation Coordinators.
