Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer in Cincinnati, OH with responsibilities spanning from I&C design leadership to on-site startup support. You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, mentor staff, and ensure project alignment with client expectations, scope, budget, and timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 15+ years' experience as Control Systems Engineer.
• Experience with Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical & Lab instrumentation and controls preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME BPE, Dairy, Hygienic systems.
• Life Science Industry Automation, DCS and PLC control systems; development of P&ID’s and control architectures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all I&C engineering and design activities for assigned projects.
• Lead I&C efforts across domestic and international teams with mentorship responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, Jacobs standards, and industry regulations.
• Develop project scopes of work, manhour estimates, and I&C Execution Plans.
• Define resources and staff for project execution; lead through all project phases.
• Perform tiered reviews of deliverables for accuracy and compliance with codes.
• Train and drive improvements; communicate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with SmartPlant, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu.
