Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in the Atlanta area. You will lead I&C design activities, develop P&IDs, select instrumentation, and define control panel layouts while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

You will mentor junior engineers, support startup and commissioning, and travel to project sites globally as required. A PE license and strong PLC/HMI skills are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• I&C systems integration design experience required.
• P&ID development and I/O list creation essential.
• Instrumentation selection and control panel layout expertise needed.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of P&IDs, control narratives, and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for cohesive design.
• Mentor and develop engineers domestically and abroad.
• Support startup, commissioning, and site evaluations; travel as needed.
