Job summary

Redtree Engineering is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to execute and lead the design of control systems for distributed generation and district energy facilities. You will own design deliverables, review work of junior engineers, and interface directly with clients across EPC and DBB projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience; EPC project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control system design principles, practices, and industry standards (ISA, ANSI, IEEE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing or reviewing P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of control system architecture, I/O lists, control narratives, and logic diagrams for DCS/PLC systems.
• Develop instrumentation design deliverables including instrument lists and data sheets.
• Create wiring, loop, and interconnection drawings; coordinate P&IDs with process/mechanical teams.
• Perform instrumentation calculations and sizing for valves, sensors, and thermowells.
• Support FAT/SAT and provide field technical support during construction and commissioning.
